  • Open dialogue exploring what you enjoy, your strengths and aims that may help you get unstuck
  • Possible information/advice, but only if you want to hear it
  • Possible goal setting when you're ready
  • Initial client intake screening and questionnaire

Techniques

Kay undertook a psychology accredited University course through an NHS Foundation Trust to strengthen her skills in helping clients make healthy lifestyle changes.

She uses a conversational approach that listens and values client knowledge, experience, resources and resilience, accepting where they are at the moment and how hard it can be to face change.

The conversation develops to discover what clients identify as their own reasons, desires and needs for healthy lifestyle change so they might improve on their own terms.

When clients are ready, incremental steps and tools towards change are identified in collaboration.

Kay guides you in setting achievable, motivational goals to help build your confidence towards improving healthy lifestyle habits. She helps clients along the change journey, helping them through until they settle into a desired new healthy habit.
