Your Appointment

Thank you for choosing Telos! We look forward to helping you improve your quality of life through a whole-body approach to physical wellbeing.

Empathetic approach

We believe in your absolute worth - that you already have the innate wisdom and resources within you to improve your physical wellbeing.

If you’d like to chat during your appointment, we seek to empower you through a collaborative conversation style and have studied at the University level to deliver this specific, well-evidenced approach. The aim is to strengthen your belief, persistence and growth within an empathetic atmosphere. We talk with you to evoke your motivation and curiosity, to identify what matters to you, to build your confidence, to appreciate your persistence in the face of challenges, and to accept non-linear progress as a natural way towards incremental success. This natural approach allows you to try out ways to improve your physical wellbeing, keeping what works for you and setting aside what doesn’t.

What to wear and expect

Please wear loose fitting clothing and undergarments, bringing a pair of shorts preferably for initial consultations and other indoor/online assessments. If you have long hair, please bring something to tie it up with for postural assessments and clinic treatments. For more information about your appointment type - please see our services page which provides highlights about what to expect.

You will be asked to complete medical screening which is an important aspect in determining whether and how Telos is right for your needs or if we can help signpost you to other options to help you feel better. This medical screening is completed for all clinic services.

We ask that you not attend indoor services if you are at all unwell. Please let us know as soon as possible so that we may reschedule. Many services may be offered online where in-person services are restricted for health and safety reasons. If your session is to be online, we will provide you with information on video conferencing software and set up if needed (if you are not already familiar with attending virtual sessions). If in doubt, please ask.

Please do not consume alcohol or controlled substances (e.g. recreational drugs), etc prior to or during services as these are contraindications for providing services to you. More details about what to expect will be provided at your appointment for your review.

Please pay in advance preferably via bank transfer instead of cash during the pandemic

Attending clinic in person appointments

Salus Wellness Clinic has ground floor appointment rooms. Should you need a ground floor room, be sure to let your practitioner know so that an appropriate room may be booked for you. These are limited and may require rescheduling your appointment.

Thank you for:

  • not attending services if you are unwell/possibly contagious

  • attending clinic alone, unless you require assistance (please let your practitioner know)

  • being on time (and not more than ten minutes early)

  • texting Kay upon your arrival and waiting outside

The address for Salus Wellness and map can be found here. There is no parking in front of the clinic or along Cambridge Place. Please plan to street park and walk. More information on parking may be found on the link provided. Thank you for using sustainable modes of transport, where possible, when attending your appointment.

Perhaps you are able to fit in a brisk walk to/from your appointment whether you are arriving by car or not?

If you are late or need to cancel, please contact Telos directly as Salus Wellness does not provide booking support. Please see our full terms and conditions about cancellation and late fees.

Please arrive no more than ten minutes early

Please arrive outside the clinic no more than 10 minutes before your appointment time at text Kay to let you know that you have arrived and are waiting outside. There’s no need to ring the bell as Kay won’t hear the doorbell but should receive your text.

Kay will come outside to collect you.

Waiting is a great time to practice mindfulness, switching off gadgets, closing your eyes and observing your breathing.

Should you need to visit the lavatory,

  • at Salus Wellness, please let us know and someone will escort you.

  • at other locations, facilities are signposted
